Comet Tenagra in Outburst

Discovered in February 2013, a distant Comet has been observed brightening significantly throughout the last few months. Comet Tenagra (2013 C2) should normally be around magnitude 18 however it has been observed increasing in brightness to magnitude 15 through February with reports of magnitude 12 by Mid March.

Located in the constellation of Corvus, the comet reached closest approach to Earth on 4th April at a distance of 8.2AU and unlikely to brighten significantly further.
